Submit an inquiry about DATA CENTER DESIGN
A Growing Problem
"You continue to add more and more servers every year. Your Data
Center is getting crowded and really needs more room.
Your New Data Center
"You are probably thinking about a redesign of your existing computer room,
or the potential expansion of your data center. You may be considering the
buildout of a completely new data center. Many questions are coming up
in discussions regarding these scenarios.

Questions like:
1. How much room will we need?
2. How will we cool this equipment?
3. What about emergency power?
4. Where do we build this room?
5. How large a budget do we need?

And more questions like:
1. Who will design the the room layout?
2. Who will size the equipment?
3. Who can supply the equipment?
4. Who can install the equipment?
5. Who will supervise the construction?

We will take care of all aspects of your new data center,
from initial design to critical equipment startup.

"What components will we utilize to fulfill your data
center requirements?

Let's look at some solutions

Rackmount Enclosures

Rackmount Enclosures provide easy organization of servers,
UPS systems and switches. Rackmount Enclosures allow for
the highest concentration of equipment in the smallest footprint. Voice/data cabling and
maintenance are also simplified with rackmount enclosures.

(please move this next page, which you call wiring tray systems, to be the LAST page in this section)

Cable Tray Systems

"A well designed cable management system should be installed as part
of the initial data center buildout. Pulling cabling in a growing data center
is greatly simplified with a precisely engineered and easily adaptable
cable tray system. Let the experts at Computer Room Design assess your
initial needs while calculating future requirements to make expansion easy.

(please move this air conditioning page to be next)

"Precision cooling systems from Computer Room Design Corporation can
provide precise and reliable control of room temperature, humidity, and airflow
for proper operation of computers and electronic equipment. Perimeter cooling units
offer high energy efficiency, easy to use controls, and provide easy access for service.

(this is the other air conditioning page, to be next)

"Computer room air conditioning is a necessity in your data center, but space is usually
at a premium. Space-saving alternatives like rack mounting, stacking several
units, or CRAC suspension above a false ceiling can alleviate this problem.
Computer Room Design Corporation can provide all of these alternatives in
cooling, including spot-cooling and portable units.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS Systems)

Rackmount power protection from 12 KW to 60 KW designed to protect
today's high powered servers and high density computing environments. These
UPS systems provide a scalable, modular, and robust solution without
generating the additional heat associated with legacy UPS products. Call
us for your customized power protection solution.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS Systems)

For larger applications, three phase UPS systems offer the right combination of
performance and price for your needs. CRD will show you numerous three
phase UPS designs. We can select the appropriate UPS technology and battery
pack for your application.

Fire Suppression Systems
CRD can protect your data center with a complete fire suppression system.
Fire suppression systems detect fire or smoke and release a chemical
agent that extinguishes the fire. The newer agents are FM200 and FE25.
These replace the older Halon 1301 or CO2 systems. The new agents are
safe to breathe for humans, even at 12 times the normal level of concentration.

(please create new page with photo of raised floor, I sent you several previously)

Raised Access Floors

"A raised access floor provides a safe plenum for electrical cabling and voice/data/fiber
cabling. Raised floors also channel cold air directly to server inlets for efficient cooling.
CRD will supply and install a new or refurbished raised floor for your new data center.

(please create new page with attached gen set photo)

"For unlimited emergency power, a standby generator set is the ultimate solution.
CRD will size the appropriate generator set for your existing power requirements
as well as future needs. We will help you decide the best location, fuel source and voltage for your data center requirements.

(please create new page with Tracetek TT1000 photo)

"A small leak can damage a business in a big way. CRD's water detection
systems not only sense the leaks, but also locate them; saving valuable time
to repair the cause of the intrusion. Our distributed systems will detect a teaspoon
of water, yet are unaffected by contaminants and corrosion in your raised floor
plenum.

Data Center Planning--self destruct--no changes

Data Center Planning--please add photo section showing floor layout from E401 pdf

"Professional planning will provide a blueprint of your new Data Center and will clearly define
all of the components and their installation.

THe Plan
1. Determine your requirements
2. Assess the site
3. Specify the right equipment
4. Create planning tools (layout, submittals, schedules of work)
5. Buildout of the Data Center

Determine Your Requirements

"You know what your business does, and how it is growing. We can help you with
a tested and proven methodology that accurately determines your critical power,
cooling, and physical space requirements. We gather this information via
conversation, e-mail, or in some cases, a site visit to your location.

"Understanding the physical space that will be transformed into your new
Data Center, or remodeled Data Center, is key to the success of any turnkey
project. Existing architectural drawings of the site will help, but for complicated
appications, our subcontractors may need to visit the site so their professional
views can help create an accurate plan.

(this is a new screen for "Assess the Site")

"CRD looks not only at the physical boundaries of the proposed data center
space, but also how the surrounding rooms and outside walls may effect the performance of our equipment. We will determine the best way to bring the required power to the data center. We will determine how best to remove hot exhaust air from the data center. We also will show you how to keep the cold air and fire suppression agent within your critical data
center space.

SPECIFY THE EQUIPMENT

"With your specific requirements and the spacial limitations in mind, the
equipment can now be selected to build your data center. Our experience in creating
all types and sizes of data centers is the key to the success of your project.
An ongoing dialogue with you will continue as questions arise.

Create Planning Tools

"Now is the time to create accurate drawings that will clearly illustrate our
design to the contractors who will install the equipment. Demo and floor plans,
electrical and mechanical drawings, specifications and one-line drawings are
all created electronically so that our design can be properly implemented.

Buildout of the Data Center

"Data Center construction can now begin. Equipment will be ordered,
subcontractors will be selected, and schedules of work will be posted.

Buildout of the Data Center

"Computer Room Design Corporation will handle all aspects of the
turnkey Data Center project, including drywall construction, rigging
of heavy equipment and electrical/mechanical labor.

CRD will hire all contractors and subcontractors. We will provide
specific lists of contractor tasks to be performed. A CRD site supervisor
will oversee all phases of the turnkey project. You will be kept continually
up to date on project staus via telephone and email.

Buildout of the Data Center

"Contractors are seen here installing the raised floor, which provides
for efficient cooling of equipment; and protects operators from high
voltage and delicate fiber optic cabling.

Buildout of the Data Center

"Once the raised flooring is completed, other critical power and
cooling components can be rigged to the site for installation.

Buildout of the Data Center

"Underfloor water detection, electrical distribution and voice/data
cabling are installed.

Buildout of the Data Center

"The results look great, are easy to maintain, and provide convenient
electrical receptacles for rackmounted servers.

(let's not use that photo of the CoolCube above the ceiling; please use one of those
photos I sent you that shows a crane lifting condenser on to a roof)

Buildout of the Data Center

"Air conditioning condensers are typically rigged via a crane on to your roof.

Buildout of the Data Center

(delete everything is coming together...)

"All critical power and cooling equipment undergoes a rigorous "factory
startup" inspection by a local factory trained service engineer. Computer
Room Design Corporation turnkey projects are completed on-time and within budget.

Monitoring Your New Data Center

(left side wording:)
"All critical equipment in the completed data center can be remotely monitored
via the internet. Alarms, status, temperature and power usage can all be quickly viewed from either the next room or from thousands of miles away.

Expanding Your New Data Center (use picture you have there of Mercy)

"Future expansion of your data center will be easy, now that a well-organized
server area has been created. Additional rack enclosures for new servers
can be easily added.
